My dear friend Theresa and I were pregnant together last year, and her little girl is turning ONE! Our babies are a bit over a month apart in age (Theresa and I have our fingers crossed that maybe, JUST maybe, our kids can make us relatives someday) and I have had the honor of photographing Theresa and her family many times over the last few years. I have to say... this portrait session of Reagan is definitely one of my favorites. My days as a wedding photographer are coming to an end, and I have complete peace with that, especially when I sit to edit portrait sessions like this one and am able to breeze through the editing and be so happy with the end result! It probably helps that Reagan was 100% more cooperative than either of my kids would ever be during the session, haha. We also had the chance to use an amazing location with beautiful afternoon light! Thank you to Creekside Gardens for allowing us use your storefront to take these photos.
Although these two LOOK like models, I can assure you they're just an ordinary married couple ;) I love that Kara and Adam wanted to get photos of themselves taken. Nope, they're not having a baby... it's not their anniversary... it was a session "just because" and it was a great idea! Although it got a BIT chilly after the sun went down (which happened entirely too soon, I never fail to underestimate just how early it sets this time of year) magic happened and I think this might be one of my favorite sessions ever! I seriously had a hard time narrowing down which photos to include in this post because I marked well over 100 favorites and that's just TOO many to share in a blog post. Enjoy! Thanks to my beautiful friends Kara and Adam for an effortless and beautiful afternoon!
