You guys, I'm having a GIRL! Can you believe it? I can't. I literally burst into tears when I found out. The process of finding out, by the way, went something like this:
Joey and I went to my 21 week anatomy scan together.
Baby looked great! Ultrasound tech wrote gender down on paper for Joey... he had already seen the gender on the ultrasound!
Joey texted my brother, who was watching the boys for us back at our house, to ask him to prepare a gender-revealing surprise.
We arrived home, and I found a package wrapped in Christmas paper waiting for me.
I opened the package nervously to reveal a gingerbread cookie.
I started laughing hysterically, holding the cookie, asking, "WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?"
Joey responded, "Can't you tell?"
Finley chimed in, "IT'S A COOKIE!"
I stared at cookie for a few more seconds. It was frosted in white. It was not gender specific by ANY means. "Boy?"
Joey shook his head no.
Joey nodded yes.
I burst into tears.
On Saturday, a few days after I found out the gender, my friend Kara and I went shopping- thankfully the roads weren't too bad as we got this mini snow storm, but that can't stop two excited moms-to-be!!! We drove to Clarks Summit, PA where we visited a new shop Kara had learned about called Birdie and OH MY, it did not disappoint. I have known for the past 4+ years that the amount of "boy stuff" out there doesn't nearly compare to the amount of girl stuff. I am so used to being limited in my options (which is absolutely a good thing for our bank account) that I can't even comprehend the amount of options there are for baby girls!!! We also went to P&R and that trip also didn't disappoint. The owner/manager/important guy made the baby section 30% off for us!!! Winning!
Here are a few of my first GIRL PREP investments!
