This year, Joey, Finley and I spent Thanksgiving with the Ayers family... or my family! We spent the day with the Johnson family last year and for now we're switching on a yearly basis, but who knows! Someday maybe we'll host. I DID just put up a Christmas decoration which is a big deal for me, so the possibilities now are endless ;)
Finley was in a terrible mood. We had to wake him up from his nap to eat the Thanksgiving feast, and after fighting through the meal we basically put him back to bed until dinner. My younger brothers were able to come home from college for the celebration and it's always so fun to see them. Joey (my husband) + Reece (my younger brother) + Carson (my youngest brother) are like peas in a pod. My grandma Nancy prepared a delicious, traditional Thanksgiving meal for lunch and after some napping and car-fixing (weird combo, I know) we headed over to my Grandma Karin's house for sandwiches and her famous apple pie! Enjoy an overview of our day through photos.
Yup, Finley and his wonderful mood! He does a little baby sign language and he was vigorously signing "EAT!"
My grandma set Finley's spot with a special chair and little silverware! SO cute. Above is my cousin Megan with GRAVY! The best part of the meal.
After we were done eating, there was a lot of napping going on. Cozy spots were found in various places... like on the floor. My brother Reece can sleep anywhere. And then there was Carson, enjoying wine slash punch. Who even knows.
Dad and grandma wrestling. Typical! (Actually when your dad is a chiropractor, scenes like the one above can be found at all family functions. I promise he's not just wrestling with my grandma!)
I bet my sister can guess whose plate of pie is featured in the photo above. One of my siblings REALLY likes whipped cream!
The rest of the night was spent looking through old photo albums, chatting, taking turns using my Pop Jim's massage chair, and wearing neck pillows around on our heads :)
