This isn't a pretty post with lots of photos. In fact, it will be short and maybe even boring to some people, but I wanted to give an update on how life without Facebook has been. In short? AMAZING. I cannot believe how much less pressure I feel. One of the biggest problems was that I had so many people contacting me through so many different means: my photography page, my personal account, my email, my website, my phone. I couldn't keep up! I felt like a slave to checking my messages on every medium and cutting out even just two of those means through which people were contacting me has helped SO much. I also realize how much time I'm not wasting on Facebook; I mindlessly go to check my Facebook account and am actually thrilled when I realized that I can't do so. I feel like I have some of my life back! I am empowered to spend my time more wisely instead of feeling badly for myself or "stalking" other people. If you've been considering deactivating your Facebook account, try it! You might be pleasantly surprised by the result.
And now, that photo above? It was shot on a trip I took with my family yesterday to salvage anything we could from a home that was going to be demolished. We got a chandelier, two porch lights, a book case, and more daffodils than I can count, among other things, like these mounts, which we will NOT be keeping. Super creepy, anyone?!
